The Twentieth Photobooth Friday Kelley

Oh friends, it’s been MONTHS… Let’s enjoy a Photobooth Friday shall we?!

Loafers: Thrifted (Similar) Jeans: Thrifted (American Eagle Similar) Tee: Forever21 (Similar Cardigan: Thrifted

Necklace: Thrifted (Similar)

This fact is going to be random and silly because it may very well take you by surprise, and it’s likely that you will laugh and think I’m lying after you hear it.

I am an introvert.

I know, I know… “But Kelley, you take photos of yourself and plaster them all over the Internet while telling us about your boring life almost DAILY!”  That’s true, I do ALL of that… on the INTERNET!  If you were to meet me in person and try to talk to me, I would likely run away and hide (Let me take this moment to apologize in advance in case we ever run into each other and this really does happen…).  Not cause I don’t like you, you are all MARVELOUS, I’m simply horrible at human interaction.  I’m like all of the awkwardness that is Zooey Deschanel in “New Girl” without any of the, “Oh she’s CUTE!” thrown in 😉

All that to say I’ve been reading, “Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking”, and I LOVE it!  I feel like I’m learning SO much about both introverted and extroverted people.  It’s super insightful, plus it makes me and my hermit like tendencies feel WAY less crazy.  And feeling less crazy is always good!

How about you guys, are you more introverted or extroverted?

P.S. WOAH!  20th?!  Photobooth Friday is almost all grown up and of legal drinking age. That’s NUTS!

  1. Woohoo Photobooth Friday!! I love the jumping photos. I’m definitely more introverted as well. I think I’ll have to check out that book 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend!!

  2. Might surprise you to learn that I’m an introvert too 🙂 Just trained to be an extrovert, haha. I totally understand where you’re coming from and wanna read that book!!! Glad that photobooth is back, brings a smile to my face.

    • Haha! Isn’t it funny how being awkward is like the new cool thing right now? I think if people were REALLY awkward (like some of us are) they would understand that it’s totally NOT cute at all lol.

  3. Yay photobooth Friday! I’ve missed these posts!

People are shocked to learn I’m an introvert too – it has a lot to do with how you gather your energy and I need that “Me” time to re-energize and whatnot. So I feel ya!

  4. You totally have the cute thrown in… especially in leopard print shoes and a fun colored cardigan! I’m an introvert too (though I can play an extrovert on the internet) and have had this book on my list for a while – glad to hear you’re liking it.

  5. i got a free advance copy of this book from a book giveaway website and had been reading susan cain’s blog for some time before that – such good stuff that has been so uplifting. as someone who has always been told, “you’re too quiet!” or “speak up!” this book has been reaffirming and reassuring that i should never have to apologize for my nature or personality!! i’m glad others have had the same experience with it is as well, so thanks for sharing kelley!

  6. Great loafers! I’ve been wanting a pair of leopard print shoes for a long time, just haven’t found the right ones … Yours look great paired with the bright cardi! 🙂
That book has been on my to-read list for a while. I think blogging is popular with introverts because it allows us to interact with others without all the real-life awkwardness. 🙂

  7. I love photo booth friday, so glad to see it’s back 🙂

It actually doesn’t surprise me that much that you describe yourself as an introvert. I think nearly all of us “internet people” are more or less introverted… it’s a lot easier being outgoing in writing than in real life.
