Giving Thanks and Giving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Don’t you just love this holiday? It’s so great to have a whole day dedicated to thankfulness, especially in a country where we ALL have quite a lot to be thankful for.

Yesterday, my husband and I had the honor of joining 100+ other members of our church and meeting at the headquarters of the local Phoenix ministry, Kitchen on the Street. Kitchen on the Street has a mission of, “Turning hunger into hope…one child at a time.” Simply put, they work hard to provide food for hungry children.

Costumes From Our Closet

…AND we’re BACK!

Things have been crazy up in this life of ours! Traveling to Australia for a month, fund raising for Africa, going to Africa, and trying to figure out “normal” life again…

We’re still dealing with that last step, but I think we’re finally starting to slowly settle in. Slowly is the key word here. And, with that word in mind, I’m going to try my hand at this whole blogging thing again. It likely won’t happen every day, but that’s how slowly works right?

Anywho, in true Threads and Buttons style, I thought I would start back up with something fun and silly. It’s not Friday, but who’s up for some Photobooth action… Halloween style!

Powerless.

I know. I know I have been slacking off, I know I haven’t posted since forever, and I know that this post is going to be NOTHING like the type of posts that you usually find here. For anyone that finds any of these above things disappointing, I’m sorry. Life has been crazy since Australia, and I have a feeling that it’s only going to get more crazy over the next two weeks.

Why? Today Josh and I leave for Africa.
